WHO WE ARE
THE BLUE TAILED SKINKS MTB CLUB
For many families, the love of mountain biking doesn’t end when kids come along—the trail still calls. But unlike traditional youth sports like Little League, mountain biking can be hard to access without a community. That’s where we come in. This club creates a fun, welcoming space where kids and families can ride, connect, and grow together. We are a 501c3 non-profit corporation committed to making the club accessible to all families that want to participate. Lets get more kids on bikes!

Our most popular program is our Spring and Fall Scampers, click here for more info.

WHO WE ARE
THE BLUE TAILED SKINKS TEAM

COACH MATT
Matt Fritzinger is best known for starting the Norcal High School Cycling League, followed by the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and was inducted to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame for his work. Matt is now a very ordinary father who likes to ride bikes with his two boys and wife, Elizabeth. Matt cofounded The Blue Tailed Skinks so kids can have a fun experience riding bikes in Sonoma County with peers their own age.

CAITLIN R. - Board Member
Caitlin Reinman is the proud mom to two Blue Tailed Skinks, a paraeducator at a local elementary school, and lover of being out on the trails. Her husband and kids have helped introduce her to the world of mountain biking and she has enjoyed learning to ride alongside her kids. Caitlin is dedicated to supporting young riders in hopes that they will build confidence, create new friendships, and improve their fitness.

TOM C. - Board Member
A native East Coaster, Tom Carluccio moved to the Bay Area in 2016 and now leads Market and Product Strategy at Crosscap Media Services. An avid roadie and mountain biker with amateur racing experience, Tom calls Santa Rosa home along with his wife, Teresa, and their two children, Micaela and Tommy—who also happen to be Blue Tailed Skinks.
Tom’s journey with the Skinks began as a ride leader in the Fall of 2025. After seeing the program's impact firsthand, he knew he had to get involved at a deeper level. Having discovered mountain biking later in life, Tom is driven to give kids the head start he wishes he had—building lifelong friendships and learning character-defining lessons through the sport. When he isn’t on the clock, Tom is likely building LEGO with his kids, cruising through Annadel State Park with Tommy or Micaela riding shotgun, or traveling with his family.

COACH JEREMIAH
Jeremiah Price is the father to two Blue Tailed Skinks, a special education teacher, volunteer fire fighter and lover of cycling and all things outdoors. Jeremiah met Matt at a MTB event, where their kids hit it off. The group started riding together and it was quickly apparent how much the kids enjoyed riding with buddies. They started the Blue Tailed Skinks to provide more opportunities to get kids out on the trails with their peers.

ANDREW M. - Board Member
When Andrew's oldest son was two, a neighbor dropped off a balance bike on their doorstep, and the two have been riding together ever since. Now with two boys on the Blue Tailed Skinks, Andrew's main goal is just trying to keep up! When he's not chasing his kids down the trails, Andrew enjoys trail running and working on residential renovations with his wife at their interior design firm.

COACH LARISSA
It's possible no one in the world is as fanatical about cycling as Larissa Connors. The former pro road and mountain bike racer has an infectious personality brought about by a pure love of riding bicycles. Connors found unparalleled success throughout her career, winning countless endurance mountain bike events including the prestigious Leadville 100 and Belgian Waffle Rides. Now the mom of a bike crazy 5-year-old and a full time math teacher, Connors spends her spare time doing trail work, leading Skinks all over, NICA camps and spreading the joy of cycling far and wide.

R. TYLER - Treasurer
Tyler is an avid cyclist and non-profit contributor. He has served on the board for Software in the Public Interest, the Jenkins project, and helped create the Continuous Delivery Foundation. He joins the Skinks as treasurer to continue to grow and sustain the organization for years to come.
